TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Lugano Motor Lodge, Blenheim

To ensure fairness to all customers and to maintain the highest standard expected as members of Hospitality NZ we have adopted the following policies:

Cancellations For Individual Bookings - A Booking for One Room Only

Cancellations or amendments to bookings must be advised by email. Cancellations or amendments with less than 7 days’ notice from 2pm on the check-in day will result in the total amount of the booked accommodation being charged to the guests’ credit card. However, we will endeavor to on-sell the rooms and will refund any on-sold room tariffs. Lugano Motor Lodge strongly recommends that travel insurance is purchased to cover costs arising from unforeseen circumstances and changes in travel plans.

Cancellations for ‘Special Events’ – including

  • Marlborough Wine and Food Festival
  • Gardens of Marlborough
  • St Clair Half Marathon
  • Whitehaven Grape Ride

Cancellations or Amendments to Bookings: Cancellations or amendments to bookings for the above events must be communicated via email. Cancellations or amendments made less than 90 days prior to 2 pm on the check-in day may result in the total amount of the booked accommodation being charged to the guest's credit card. However, we will make every effort to resell the rooms, and any revenue from resold room tariffs will be refunded to the guest. Bookings cancelled on the day of scheduled check-in will incur a charge equivalent to the total booking amount.

Travel Insurance Recommendation: Lugano Motor Lodge highly recommends purchasing travel insurance to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances and changes in travel plans.

Cancellations for Groups and Multiple Bookings: Cancellations or amendments to bookings—defined as a booking of three or more rooms under one name or different names by one individual or company—must be submitted in writing via email. Cancellations or amendments made with less than 30 days’ notice from 2 pm on the check-in day may result in the total amount of the booked accommodation being charged to the guest’s credit card. Bookings cancelled on the day of scheduled check-in will incur a charge equivalent to the total booking amount.

However, we will make every effort to re-sell the rooms, and any revenue generated from re-sold room tariffs will be refunded to the guest.

No-Shows: If a booking is not cancelled in writing within the specified time and the guest fails to arrive, the full room rate will be charged to the credit card on file.

Reception Hours: Monday to Friday: 8am - 12pm, 1pm - 7pm

Weekends 8am – 7pm

Late Check-in Arrangements: For check-ins after 7pm, please contact us in advance at 03 577 8808 to make special arrangements for key collection. We are here to assist you and ensure a smooth arrival process.

Check-in and Check-out Times: Check-in time starts from 1pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is at 10am on the day of departure.

Early Check-in and Late Check-out: Early check-in and late check-out are available only upon prior arrangement with motel management.

Damage to Property:

Guests are responsible for any damage, including accidents, to the property at Lugano Motor Lodge, including the building, rooms, and furnishings. Please note the following:

  • Any bond held may be used to cover damages if a credit card is not provided.
  • The guest's credit card will be charged for any theft, loss, or damages incurred during their stay.

Parties and Noise:

Lugano Motor Lodge strictly enforces a NO PARTIES and NOISE Policy to ensure the comfort of all guests.

Excessive noise is not tolerated at any time. Guests who fail to comply with these policies and disturb the peace and quiet enjoyment of others will be asked to vacate the premises immediately, without refund.

The credit card of the registered guest may be charged for damages resulting from guest complaints about excessive noise during designated quiet hours. This includes covering costs for guests who leave due to noise disturbances. All visitors to guest rooms must depart quietly by 9pm.

Changes in Reservation Term:

Any changes to the reservation term will be considered a new booking, and additional charges may apply. Extensions to bookings are subject to room availability.

Early Departure:

Guests departing earlier than the reserved date may not receive a refund unless approved by motel management and the booked accommodation is successfully re-let.

Guests:

Visitors are permitted at the discretion of management. We strictly prohibit large, noisy gatherings and parties in our rooms. It is imperative that all guests ensure their visitors depart quietly before 9pm.

The registered guest holds full responsibility for the behavior of all visitors to their room for the entire duration of their stay. Any deliberate or reckless acts resulting in damage to Lugano Motor Lodge or financial loss to the motel will result in charges being applied to the registered guest.

Due to limited parking space, visitors must park their vehicles outside the complex premises without exception.

Smoking and Vaping is strictly prohibited outside your room and within any room on the property.

For the convenience of smokers and Vapers, a designated smoking/Vaping area has been designated. Please inquire at reception for an ashtray. Smoking or vaping inside or outside rooms by guests or visitors is strictly prohibited. Please be aware that our smoke detectors are highly sensitive and will activate at any indication of smoke. Should this occur, charges for the alarm call-out and cleaning will apply, at a minimum charge of NZ$500.Top of Form

Strong Smelling Foods:

To ensure a pleasant experience for all guests, the cooking of strong-smelling foods is strictly prohibited in this motel. If strong residual odors linger and professional cleaning is required, the registered guest may incur a minimum charge of $100. Additionally, if the room cannot be rented until the odor is completely eliminated, the registered guest will be responsible for the resulting loss of income to Lugano Motor Lodge.
